On Saturday between 10am-2pm the Blacksburg Junior Women's Club will be hosting a spot with supplies for kids to make edible cereal necklaces. For those kids with gluten allergies or for those kids that want to add something extra to their necklace, we will have paper "beads" for them to use to create their designs. Everything is FREE for kids and their parents to enjoy! Please come see us.

Collecting Legos for children's hospitals
Educate the public about matters of firearm safety and responsible gun ownership. Hand out flyers with safety tips and promoting free safety seminars to be held in the local area by qualified instructors.

Education about CCL & our goal to create the political will for a livable world. -Recruit new volunteers. -Encourage visitors to take that first “action”– by sending a postcard, writing a short letter to Congress or attend a CCL meetup CCL is a non-partisan organization.

Team 401 exists as a partnership between the four Montgomery County Public School system high schools and the Virginia Tech School of Education.

Indivisible is a non profit non, partisan organization that is dedicated to engaging our representatives, Congressman Morgan Griffith, Senator, Mark Warner and Senator Tim Kaine in public discourse. We plan on asking interested adults to write postcards with their concerns and have children draw pictures of their concerns to send to the representatives.

Free assistance from certified navigators with access to health insurance and benefits including Marketplace Special Enrollments that are ongoing through the year for those with certain changes in life circumstances, such as loss of insurance, marriage, divorce, having a baby and re-entry into the community from incarceration
This booth will distribute free watershed maps and information on local water quality issues. Additional information will be provided concerning strategies to improve local streams, creek and water quality in our area. Representatives from the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech and other localities will be available for questions and input on their existing stormwater programs.
We will pass out postcards with information about the TimeBank, and invite folks to sign up for our e-newsletter.
