Team 401 exists as a partnership between the four Montgomery County Public School system high schools and the Virginia Tech School of Education. Team 401 will bring along some of their cool robots so you can see what they're up to!
Information about how girls can join Girl Scouts, volunteer opportunities for adults. At Girl Scouts we introduce girls of every age to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to help them see how they can actually improve the world. Activity- Oobleck "Slime".

We will be promoting our 501(c)(3) non-profit's work in musical theatre including this summer's production. We will promote the show in a family friendly way, likely with a game or a photo opportunity related to the show. We will hand out small flyers with show information.
Sustainability activities and information
Hosting a "Photo booth" activity. Fun dress up clothes, along with a "frame" to take pictures with our small Hokie Bird Statues. We will also give away Hokie Bird coloring papers to children as a take-home coloring activity.
This booth will distribute free watershed maps and information on local water quality issues.

Twin Valleys Roller Derby was founded in 2017 as a fusion of Star City Roller Girls and New River Valley Roller Derby. TVRD exists to provide education to the people of the SWVA who would like to participate in and learn about the challenging and exciting sport of roller derby. The league participates in community service and philanthropic initiatives to give back to the area that supports us.

We will be letting people know about our Choices & Challenges event, which will be held in spring 2019 and will be focused on community issues are autonomous, or self-driving, automobiles. We will also be asking community members what their concerns or thoughts about self-driving cars are.
Our group will be promoting this year's Hokie BugFest (Oct. 20 at Squires Student Center and Downtown Blacksburg). There is a rumor folks might see a big bug walking around Steppin'Out this year promoting the event. We will be there at our table in the children's area on Saturday morning with a sampling of the massive live bug exhibit we feature at our annual event in October. The public will get a peek at our tarantulas, local spiders, exotic cockroaches, and other arthropods. We will also feature our 4-H entomology project books and information on how kids can enter the annual insect collection contest held at the annual Hokie BugFest. See you then!
